The small family-owned Walnut Cottage Caravan Park is a lovely smallholding site set within the Shropshire Hills, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s the perfect spot for dream getaway set just ten-minutes from the picturesque town of Much Wenlock, with extensive meadows and woodlands for wanderers and adventurers. Heaps of scenic walking, hiking and cycling trails crisscross across the surrounding landscape so slip on your walking boots, get on your bike, or hop in the saddle and explore the routes that makeup part of the beautiful Shropshire Way circular. When you’re not sitting back and taking in the stunning vistas, take a tour of the local attractions like the Wroxeter Roman city, the 13th-century Stokesay Castle, and Church Stretton – the only town in the Shropshire Hills. The munchkins can spend happy afternoons feed the sheep, horses and cows at the site, or making friends at the play park. Of you feel hungry, head over to the convenience store in Much Wenlock to stock up meats and other bits for a barbeque back at the site. The owners welcome fur babies so feel free to bring your canine companions along for an exciting holiday in the countryside with heaps of space for walks and curious critters.
