Camp under canvas on a non-electric grass tent pitch or take a look at the cosy canopy bell tents that sleep between four to six glampers. Each bell tent rests on a lovely private space of twenty-four square meters, and there are heaps of quiet picnic corners and hidden corners for when you just want to spread out a blanket and soak in the sights and sounds of the beautiful surrounds. Take a book and a cold drink and make an afternoon of it. Each well-appointed tent comes furnished with a kingsize oak bed, crockery and equipment for the kitchen, plus items like a smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. The owners are happy to supply bedding and towels on request. Take a ride into the town of Uppingham half a mile away, and explore the Friday market, pop into art shops, explore fashion boutiques and refuel at takeaways and restaurants. Head back to base with meats, mushrooms, and other goodies for a family barbeque. For wine bars, pubs and award-winning restaurants are all in proximity to the campsite. Dogs must remain on a lead at all times owing to the wild animals, including the wild rabbit that roams the grounds.
