NB THIS REVIEW IS FROM A YEAR AGO AND REPAIRS MAY HAVE SINCE BEEN MADE. wouldnt post before Owner gave us a good deal on this one as well as lent us some guide books and a camping chair at no extra cost. However the condition was poor, with brakes frequently smelling burnt on the motorway,1 wing mirror stuck on with gaffa tape and so unadjustable, and more unnerving, the electric charging cable started smoking when plugged in overnight at a campsite. We will be more rigorous with quality as well as price next time, and would not recommend this as suitable for hire without repairs.

We had a wonderful trip with this van. A delight to drive, and to live in, from Sheffield to the isles of Lewis and Harris, without any flaws. Theres everything needed inside, and Matthew is very helpful and flexible. Highly recommended !

A rainbow in Arran

We had a great weekend in the van hired from Matthew and his family. They were flexible about the hire dates and kept in good contact to organise pick up etc. The van was very comfortable, great use of space and accommodated our family of four very well. We used the heater on the second night to give extra warmth for our 1yr old and she slept like a baby (and therefore so did we!)Whilst my days of camping in a tent are long gone Ive definitely been converted to the relative luxuries of a campervan.

Absolutely superb vehicle for us, a family of four who went to a music festival over May Bank Holiday weekend. Very economical, the van was kitted out with everything we required. The kids loved sleeping "in the roof" and the bed for us adults in the body of the vehicle was very comfy. Matthew was very communicative helpful throughout the booking. Handled very well and certainly motored on when we hit dual carriage motorway. I hope to use this super VW again in the near future. Thanks Matthew and Family.

We had a great weekend in the VW Westfalia and recommend this van to anyone thinking of trying out a campervan for a short break. We spent the weekend in Pocklington and it kept us warm and dry on the Saturday despite the bad weather and was very enjoyable on the Sunday when the sun came out. It was spacious enough for the 3 of us without being too cramped and drove very well with the added advantage of being able to make a brew if you stopped anywhere.The van was well equipped but could have done with a travel adapter since the sockets were European so we had to go and buy one to charge our phones.Mathew was great in organising collection and return with both going smoothly to start and finish the weekend well.Thanks Camperbug and thanks Mathew.Dave & Amanda

We had a great trip in the Westfalia - travelling up from Sheffield to the Scottish highlands, taking in Inverness, the Isle of Skye and the Nevis region, before heading back to South Yorkshire via the Lake District.The Westfalia didnt miss a beat in the 1300 mile, 7 day round trip - recommended!
